Σε μια πόλη όπου οι τύραννοι κυβερνούσαν με σιδερένια χέρια, ένας Γραφέας έζησε σιωπηλός για χρόνια.
Κάθε μέρα έβλεπε την αδικία, τα δάκρυα των φτωχών, το αίμα των αθώων.
Και κάθε βράδυ, κρατούσε το μελανοδοχείο του κλειστό.
Μια νύχτα, ονειρεύτηκε έναν πολεμιστή. Στο ένα χέρι κρατούσε σπαθί, στο άλλο μια πένα.
«Ποιο όπλο είναι δυνατότερο;» ρώτησε ο Γραφέας.
Ο πολεμιστής χαμογέλασε:
«Το σπαθί κόβει σώματα. Η πένα που δεν σιωπά, κόβει ψέματα και ρίχνει τυράννους».
Ξύπνησε τρέμοντας, μα άνοιξε το μελανοδοχείο. Έγραψε λέξεις που έγιναν φλόγα.
Κι όταν το κείμενό του διαδόθηκε, ο λαός σηκώθηκε∙ και οι τύραννοι έπεσαν όχι από τα χαλύβδινα όπλα, αλλά από τις αλήθειες που ήταν γραμμένες στο χαρτί.
Ηθικό δίδαγμα:
Το πιο δυνατό σπαθί είναι η πένα που δεν σιωπά∙ γιατί οι λέξεις χτίζουν ή γκρεμίζουν ολόκληρους κόσμους.

The Scribe and the Sword
In a city ruled by tyrants with iron hands, a Scribe lived in silence for years.
Each day he saw injustice, the tears of the poor, the blood of the innocent.
And each night, he kept his inkwell closed.
One night, he dreamed of a warrior. In one hand he held a sword, in the other a pen.
“Which weapon is stronger?” asked the Scribe.
The warrior smiled:
“The sword cuts bodies. The pen that does not remain silent cuts lies and topples tyrants.”
He awoke trembling, but opened his inkwell. He wrote words that turned into flame.
And when his text spread, the people rose; and the tyrants fell—not by steel, but by truths written on paper.
Moral:
The strongest sword is the pen that does not remain silent; for words build or destroy entire worlds.
